Bayelsa: 4 militants killed, shootings going on in Southern Ijaw, others

Four militants have met their Waterloo during exchange of firepower with members of the Joint Tax Force (JTF) in Southern Ijaw Local Government Area of Bayelsa State. Heavy shootings, which started on Friday night, were also said to be ongoing at the local government as of the time of filing this report. Resident Electoral Commissioner of INEC in Bayelsa State, Baritor Kpagir, who confirmed the development, told journalists at Otuoke on Saturday morning that it would be difficult for voting to take place in the local government.
