You are the reason why I have such a healthy self esteem. I've watched you even in difficult times, no yu never flinch, ive watched you enter places that were difficult to enter with nothing but your faith. Bunch of jokers who should never have been elected into Office

Bunch of jokers who should never have been elected into Office

You may see it hilarious but they are real jokers! The same social media they used in coming into power is what they want to crucify now. ! I remember how they came after GEJ and his government using Twitter activists, now 'everyone must be accountable for what they publish?' What a bunch of jokers!

This bill, if passed into law, will basically stop most people from writing their thoughts...because how do you know what will put you in trouble? They are basically trying to silence their critics with this oppressive bill. Bullies
If you don't accept criticism, I wonder how you will large up or learn but the truth is the mass may not be in the government with you but we have a system of government we can express which is the social network.

It's the bill that corrupt politicians should end up in jail and not we the mekunus.... Lolz

My father never bidded for any arms contract during Jonathan's govt- Dokpesi's son

My father never bidded for any arms contract during Jonathan's govt- Dokpesi's son

Raymond Dokpesi Jnr, the son of embattled chairman of DAAR group, Chief Raymond Dokpesi has released a statement distancing his father from the controversial $2.1 billion arms deal scandal.

According to a statement released titled "The Continued Detention of High Chief Raymond Dokpesi by The EFCC on Allegations of Money Laundering" which was signed by him, he said his father was only contracted to develop a Multi Media Strategic Development Support Project to promote and project the achievements and highlight the challenges of former president Jonathan's government. He says in the statement that his father is not a contractor with the Ministry of Defence and does not supply arms. The full text of the statement after the cut...

THE CONTINUED DETENTION OF HIGH CHIEF RAYMOND DOKPESI BY THE EFCC ON ALLEGATIONS OF MONEY LAUNDERING

1. It has become very imperative that following an article published in the Nation Newspaper and reprinted in other online and social media, that we provide more clarification on the current detention without trial of Dr. Raymond Dokpesi by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission EFCC in Abuja over allegations of Criminal Conspiracy and Money Laundering.

2. In the first place there is no iota of truth whatsoever that Dr. Dokpesi had a hand in any transaction with the former National Security Adviser regarding the purchase of arms, locally or internationally. This falsehood has become commonplace as his detention is constantly being associated with what has generally become known by the media as the $2.1 Billion US Dollars Arms Deal Scandal.

3. We will like to make it abundantly clear that Dr. Dokpesi's DAAR INVESTMENT & HOLDINGS COMPANY LTD, initiated a proposal to the Presidency of Former President Goodluck Jonathan proposing a Multi Media Strategic Development Support Project to promote and project the achievements and highlight the challenges of his government whilst demystifying false information gleefully circulated by the propaganda machinery of the then opposition party.

4. The proposal was submitted to the Former President in person by Dr. Dokpesi and his team in the presence of the Former Vice President and the Former National Security Adviser at the Presidential Villa, Abuja. We must further emphasize that the proposal had absolutely nothing to do with the Peoples' Democratic Party (PDP), nor the Presidential Campaign Council (PCC).

5. We understand that this proposal was thoroughly studied, approved and paid for by the Presidency through the office of the National Security Adviser which to the best of our knowledge has multiple budgetary sub-heads including for the promotion and propagation of information to sustain and stabilize the government and its administration.

6. We are still at a loss as to why a Federal Government that claims to have been popularly elected only about six months ago, will embark on a wide scale propaganda, misinformation and brazen falsehood just to achieve its objective of decimating its perceived political opponents and supporters of the previous government's administration.

7. High Chief Raymond Dokpesi remains a law abiding and consummate patriot who has served his fatherland to the best of his ability with Zeal, Zest and oftentimes a very infectious sense of patriotism.

8. For the avoidance of doubt, Dr Dokpesi has never applied nor bidded for a contract for the purchase of arms. Nor has he ever been registered with the Ministry of Defence for the similar objective of engaging in the supply of Arms for the Government. Unfolding events will soon prove irrefutably and unlike what fictious stories are being fed to the media as published by The Nation Newspaper on Friday 4th December 2015.

9. We urge the Buhari-led APC Government to rigorously investigate all political and economic crimes thoroughly before embarking on a media trial and sentencing even before the law courts of Nigeria have an opportunity to adjudicate.

10. Our democracy must grow on all fronts but more so under the rule of law which remains the bedrock of any democratic system.

Signed

Raymond Dokpesi Jnr.

The embattled former National Security Adviser, Col. Sambo Dasuki had asked for an open trial, promising to spill the beans and bring the house down with him. He is doing just that. In a latest development, Sambi Dasuki has indicted former Senate President David Mark in the over $2.3billion arms purchase scandal rocking top functionaries and leaders of the People’s Democratic Party in the last few days according to reports obtained from the EFCC by our correspondent.

According to detailed revelations made by the Director of Finance in the ONSA, Senator David Mark had through a proxy and a company operated by his younger brother, Igoche Mark received cash totaling about N10.7billion from the embezzled sum to fund his last senatorial
campaign in Benue State. From the reports, he received at two installments the sum of N5.2 billion in one batch and another N5.5 billion as contracts sum for non-existing bids and received full payments shortly before the last general
elections.

Checks by the Special Fraud Unit has
confirmed that Senator David Mark who has been building a war chest while acting as Senate President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria received various payments for non- existing contracts from agencies and parastatals of government including the now rested immigration recruitment scandal where his protege, Comrade Abba Moro defrauded the
country to the tune of N800, 000, 000:00 using a company belonging to Mrs Mark.
It will be recalled that recently Col. Sambo
Dasuki had revealed that some chieftains of the PDP including Alhaji Atahiru Bafarawa and Raymond Dokpesi participated in the diversion of huge sums of money to consulting spiritualists and political campaigns respectively.

Arms Deal Probe: See The Questions EFCC Detectives Are Seeking
Answers to.

The EFCC recently has arrested a host of politicians and businessmen in the country in connection to a $2bn arms deal probe allegedly spearheaded by ex NSA Sambo Dasuki. According to a report from The
Nation, many suspects had admitted collecting huge sums of money from the Office of the National Security Adviser (ONSA) when Dasuki was in charge.
Also, a security officer said investigators are going along these lines of questioning and reasoning:
1: Were the funds budgeted for? If not, what informed extra-budgetary expenses?

2:How much was actually voted for arms
procurement?

3:How were the funds sourced?

4:Who or which agency awarded all the contracts?

5:Who were the contractors?

6:Was there any evidence of delivery of equipment?

What will make any Minister to run to ONSA for funds? “These are the areas our detectives have been mandated to look at," the official said.

Yuletide: Don’t travel at night – FRSC urges motorists By Daily Post Staff

The Federal Road Safety Commission(FRSC) has urged motorists in the country to avoid night traveling, especially during the Yuletide, because of
the dangers involved.
Mr Imoh Etuk, Corps Public Education Officer of the commission, made the call in a statement made available to the News agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Abuja on Friday.
Etuk highlighted factors that negated night-time travels in the country, including the poor state of roads, inadequate rescue services and fatigue.
He also identified inadequate road signs/markings and poor vehicle maintenance culture as part of the factors. He said although the commission would not want
to step on the fundamental human rights of Nigerians to move freely, it was still instructive to advise the motoring public on the hazards associated with such practice. “This underscores why we embark on robust public awareness campaigns for Nigerians to appreciate the grievous dangers of travelling at night at the moment. “ Absence of the proper indices to ensure the safety of those who prefer to travel at night are continuously emphasised during enlightenment,”
he said. Etuk also said that change of light intensity and blur effect of night driving on the vision of drivers also increased the probability of road crashes at night.
According to him, when light levels are reduced, the pupil of the eyes open up in size to admit more light thus making what the driver sees to become blurred.(NAN)
