Denrele Edun Sustains Head Injury At Movie Location

Denrele Edun Sustains Head Injury At Movie Location

Denrele Edun sustained a head injury at a movie location. He was supposed to drop into a faint in a scene but fell on a metallic object that pierced his face just near his eyebrows.
The controversial, TV personality was able to share his experience on Instagram with pictures shoeing him bleeding heavily from the injury.
Read his narration of the incident below:

They say that true artists suffer for their craft, but perhaps no artist has suffered like myself on this hustle of mine!
All in a bid to make my acting more convincing, I was supposed to drop into a faint in the very first scene of the movie “PEPPER SOUP” but I guess I miscalculated and fell hard on a metallic object on the floor that pierced my face. I kinda blacked out for a few seconds and felt something warm running down my face…Truth is, a blood vessel just a lil above my right eye (an inch away from my eyebrow bone) was burst open and it was hard to control the bleeding!
The production team was stunned and scared at the same time. They almost called off the production but I refused!
THE SHOW MUST GO ON!
And I finished this job with all the grace, strength, resilience and amazing character interpretation that I could muster!

This Is What Happens If You Rub Your Lips with a Tea Bag. The Result – Spectacular!

This Is What Happens If You Rub Your Lips with a Tea Bag. The Result – Spectacular!

If you are dealing with dry and chapped lips this winter season, this quick and efficient method will take the place of all lip balms you’ve been using so far. And, the only thing you need is a teabag!

Quick treatment of chapped lips

Soak a green tea teabag in warm water, squeeze out the excess water and hold or gently rub the teabag over your lips for 5 minutes.

Providing you do this every day, you can significantly increase the hydration of your lips.

Using this green tea coating method will instantly improve the state of your lips. Plus, this also works on cold sores due to the tightening effect of green tea.

Why does it work?

Green tea is one of the most popular medicinal plants of today. It’s been the subject of a number of scientific studies, many of which have confirmed its effectiveness and great health benefits for various diseases and health conditions. Green tea is also widely used in the cosmetic industry, especially in anti-aging products.

Green tea has healing properties because of which it works so well on the skin, including the lips. It is believed that green tea improves natural resistance to UV rays. Green tea not only improves the effectiveness of sunscreen, but it helps alleviate sunburns as well. Its strong anti-inflammatory properties soothe and cool sensitive skin, protecting it from further irritation. In addition, the caffeine content in green tea stimulates circulation and promotes detoxification.

The compound EGCG in green tea reactivates skin cells that die due to unhealthy habits, exposure to sunlight and pollution. Plus, it contains high levels of the most powerful antioxidants which delay premature aging by fighting free radicals and healing damaged cells. Also, these antioxidants inhibit enzymes that damage collagen, which is essential for elasticity and smoothness of the skin.

Moreover, catechins in green tea have strong antibacterial properties that reduce acne by regulating hormone imbalance. They also possess anti-inflammatory properties that reduce redness and inflammation, thus promoting faster healing.

Since green tea is so beneficial for the skin, we offer here two face-mask recipes that use this amazing ingredient as their base.

Anti-aging mask

Mix 3 tablespoons of full-fat yogurt with a tablespoon of minced green tea. Leave on your face for 20 minutes and then rinse. Apply a moisturizer as usual.

Anti-acne mask

Mix a tablespoon of honey and a spoonful of minced green tea. Leave on your face for 30 minutes and then rinse.

SHOCKING: Sambo Dasuki Used Arms Money To Buy Assets (See Revelations)

SHOCKING: Sambo Dasuki Used Arms Money To Buy Assets (See Revelations)

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has said the immediate past National Security Adviser, Col. Sambo Dasuki (retd.), compromised the security of the nation and committing economic sabotage through diversion of another N32bn meant for the purchase of arms into private enjoyment.

The commission, which also gave more details about the alleged diversion of funds meant for the purchase of arms to fir Boko Haram by the office of the NSA during Dasuki’s tenure, said they now have documents showing that the ex-NSA gave the approval for the release of the funds to the accounts of private companies and individuals.

The fresh details are mind-blowing and shocking...

EFCC’s lawyer, Rotimi Jacobs (SAN), told Justice Yusuf Baba of the FCT High Court in Maitama, Abuja, while opposing new bail applications filed by Dasuki and his co-accused persons, who are being prosecuted on 19 counts of conspiracy, criminal breach of trust and dishonest misappropriation of the money.

The other accused persons, who had pleaded not guilty to all the 19 counts on Monday, are a former Director of Finance and Administration in the Office of the NSA, Shuaibu Salisu, and a former Director of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, Aminu Baba-Kusa, and two companies.

The two companies, in which Baba-Kusa are their directors, are Acacia Holdings Limited and Reliance Referral Hospital Limited.

Jacobs (SAN, who said the accused persons were still under investigation for other “aspects of the case”, added that the EFCC is still tracing more assets linked to the proceeds of the diversion of the funds.

The EFCC also revealed that Dasuki had purchased houses in London and Dubai with the proceeds of the funds meant for purchase of arms for soldiers battling the killer group, Boko Haram.

The prosecution also alleged in its counter-affidavit that Dasuki transferred huge sums of money to companies whose identities were still being traced, adding that he transferred large sums of money outside Nigeria to acquire "several assets in Dubai and London."

Its counter-affidavit also read, “That our investigation also revealed that the applicant transferred large sums of monies outside Nigeria and he acquired several assets in Dubai and London with these funds.”

The defence lawyers, representing the accused persons – Ahmed Raji (SAN) for Dasuki, A. U. Mustapha for Salisu, and Solomon Umoh (SAN) for Baba-Kusa and his companies – had, while moving their respective bail applications, claimed that the charges filed before the court did not indicate that the money in question was meant for the procurement of arms.

But Jacobs (SAN), in picking holes in the lawyers’ contention, referred the judge to pages 14 to 58 of the prosecution’s proof of evidence, which he said contained documents detailing the approval of the former NSA for the release of various sums of money to individuals and private companies for the procurement of arms.

Jacobs (SAN) said, “In our proof of evidence, we mentioned security money meant for purchase of arms. We also mentioned security equipment, but they decided not to look at it.

"Page 14 to page 58 of our proof of evidence showed approval for the supply of security equipment, satellite and arms. All the charges we filed were based on funds approved for the purchase of arms.”

According to the charges, Dasuki, Salisu and Senior Special Assistant, Domestic Affairs to Goodluck Jonathan, Waripamowei Dudafa, released N10bn to the PDP to bribe presidential primary delegates.

N2.1bn was also paid into the account of DAAR Investment and Holding Company Limited, controlled by one Raymond Dokpesi for the funding of media propaganda for Jonathan against opposition.

The sum of N1.45bn was also paid to Acacia Holdings Limited, controlled by Baba-Kusa, for 'prayers'.

Again, the sum of N750m was allegedly paid to Reliance Referral Hospital Limited in favour of Baba-Kusa for prayers.

Belsha Nigeria Limited, controlled by Bello Matanwalle, was also said to have received N380m to support some members of the House of Reps for their re-election campaign.

General Hydrocarbons Ltd controlled by Thisday publisher, Nduka Obaigbena was also said to have received N670m for “energy consulting”. And several other funny names to move Nigeria's money.

EFCC affidavit read in part, “That the charges being alleged against the defendant/applicant (Dasuki) border on economic sabotage that strikes at the very foundation of Nigeria well-being and existence.

“That it is in the interest of justice to put the applicant in protective custody so as to shield him from a possible attack by the relatives of the innocent soldiers, who lost their lives due to lack of adequate equipment; innocent soldiers who lost their lives due to lack of adequate facilities caused by the diversion of the funds meant for that purpose.

“Apart from the cases that are pending against the applicant, he’s also being investigated in respect of other criminal allegations.”

My Boyfriend proposed & I accepted, then he started doing this

My Boyfriend proposed & I accepted, then he started doing this

I am a lady that is days away from turning 30. I am beautiful, intelligent, fun loving and smart. My story has been a very interesting and sad one... I was born with a deformity of not being able to bear a child.

N.B. I have never done an abortion so please don’t think it’s because of recklessness I have damaged my womb. I have dated three guys, two of whom I told about my situation. I left the third, I couldn’t tell him because I was scared, so I acted up and gave him attitude, then he left too.

I am currently engaged to a guy a friend hooked me up with, that claims he loves me but I really doubt it. I told him about my situation and he accepted...
he made a huge proposal after I told him, and it went viral, to show to the world how he loves me.

But here is the real deal, he doesn’t show me he cares. I am abused at the slightest opportunity. Calling me names I have never been called. He cheats on me so much that it breaks my heart, currently he is sleeping with the house-help which he can’t hide anymore. He even brings some of his girls home and I just look and cry my eyes out when am alone.

He makes me feel worthless. First of all I mustn’t talk to my friends when he is around if not he gets jealous. He asked me to close up my Facebook, Instagram, BlackBerry messages, WhatsApp and delete all my contacts because he doesn’t want me talking to anyone…we don’t even go out as couple, he doesn’t take me anywhere.

I am not allowed to work anymore cos he said his wife won’t work. I had a very lucrative job back in my country and he made me quit. I really do not have much savings but I had 25,000 USD which I have given to him on loan and I doubt if he will ever pay. My family back home depends on me. I have been working my ass out to support the family but I always had a lonely and sad night… In my quest to find happiness I find myself here. Now I can’t support my family, I don’t even have a dime to my name and I’m in a strange country with no one to talk to. I am even too broke to go make my hair in the salon, I have learnt how to make my hair myself now. Same me that goes to the best salon back home, wears the best clothes and now I have been reduced to nothing.

Because I don’t have anymore money to give to him he sees me as a dull girl. That I am not smart at all... I called home last month and the last money I had was used to get me air ticket to leave here after a very big fight... But after finding out about it he begged me to stay and I did.

His way of life I can’t deal…he poses to be very rich, which I really don’t care if he is rich or broke because I know I can survive without a man’s money. But he lives in debt around that I am ashamed of moving around. We have been arrested once because he was owing someone. He lives a fake life and it breaks my heart because I’m one of the realest girls you can know. In a bid to cover up, once he gets little money he shops for clothes and wrist watches and gives people money to show off, without even paying up some debts.

He doesn’t want to go see my parents, he wants to send money home for my bride price to be done back home and we won’t attend. I have always dreamt of been a bride, I am very beautiful and I dream of how a beautiful bride I will be.

Now what should I do? I feel so ashamed to even go back home with no money attached to my name. The stigma of getting engaged and dumped? Or stay with this man that makes my life unbearable? If I leave who will ever marry me with my health issue? I hear lots of people say marriage is not always blissful, is it always like this? Should I stay and build this which I doubt will work? If I stay, how do I cope with him sleeping with househelps and everything under skirts...

Please I need a realistic way out of this mess.

Man climbs, stays on Lagos high-tension tower for three hours

Man climbs, stays on Lagos high-tension tower for three hours

Tragedy was averted in Lagos on Friday when an unidentified man mounted an electricity transmission tower.

The incident occurred at Powerline Street, Calvary Bus Stop in Egbe-Idimu Local Council Development Area.

Punch gathered that the man wandered around the vicinity in the early hours of the day before stopping at the foot of the tower at about 2pm.

Eyewitnesses said he removed some totems tied to the tower by a vigilance group and mounted it to the top despite warnings from residents and passers-by.

A resident, Mr. Kazeem Oyebola, who said the man did not look like a mentally challenged person, added that his responses showed he was on a suicide mission.

He stated, “He was not mad at all. He was coherent when he talked except for some vague statements he made. He had a mission and it was to kill himself for some unknown reasons.”

Also, a yam seller in the area who identified herself as Iya Bose said she was scared when the man in his late thirties climbed the tower.

Another resident, identified as Odunayo, who sells alcoholic drinks in the area, said the man covered himself with a wrapper.

She added that many felt the tower climber wanted cheap publicity or had an intention to “carry out a diabolical assignment particularly as he wore red knickers.”

Our correspondent learnt that the incident attracted a crowd and some of them had to climb the tower to see if they could get him down.

A community leader in the area, Mr. Alao Salami, said when he sensed that the man was not ready to disembark from the tower after about three hours he had to alert the police at the Idimu Police Station.

An official with an electricity distribution firm who did not want his name in print told SUNDAY PUNCH that the only way the man could have survived electrocution was because there was no electricity in the wires.

When our correspondent visited Idimu Police Divisional Headquarters, the Divisional Police Officer, Mr. James Sonekan, refused to comment on the matter.

He said he was not authorised to make an official statement on the matter.

Amazing ! How I hurriedly married my wife after another man proposed — Ejike Okoye tells his beautiful love story

Amazing ! How I hurriedly married my wife after another man proposed — Ejike Okoye tells his beautiful love story

The Okoyes

Nollywood actor, Ejike Okoye, has been married to Ify, a program analyst and financial expert, for 14 years. They share their love story with Spice below:

How and when did you meet your wife?

Ejike: I met my wife in the early 90s while I was in secondary school and I have been a friend of her family ever since. We started out just as good friends but with no strings attached. I watched her grow up and realised that she was reserved and homely. Also, she was her parents’ favourite; she always kept the house clean, helped out in the kitchen and never missed any of her daily chores. She had high moral standards unlike most teenagers her age. She has remained God-fearing till date. She also ensured that I ate each time I visited their house back then. She possessed all the qualities of a good wife right from the first day I met her.

What were your first impressions of your husband?

Ify: My husband has been a friend of my family years before we got married. He showed a lot of care to my younger siblings and I, without making advances at us. He usually took us out to parties, the swimming pool, confectionaries and other fun spots. He has remained a nice guy and a handsome gentleman.

How did you propose to her?

Ejike: We grew so fond of each other in no time and also understood each other perfectly. My wife could read me like no one else and she also inspired me. I approached her directly and she wasn’t surprised because she already knew my intentions. She was very happy when I proposed to her.

Ify: He proposed to me over the phone and I was very happy. The engagement ring came afterwards.

How long did it take to woo her?

Ejike: It didn’t take me long to woo her because God had already destined us to be together. We knew we loved each other long before we even met.

How long did you court your wife?

Ify: Our friendship started during our secondary school days but I was still in primary school when he started coming over to our house. There was no form of intimacy until we decided to get married to each other.

At what point did you decide to marry her?

Ejike: It felt as though we were both dying in silence. We knew we wanted each other but neither of us wanted to give it a shot at first. I guess it’s because we were used to each other as family friends. We didn’t express our love for each other until a man came to seek her hand in marriage. That was when the love, care and passion came to light and ever since then it has continued to grow.

Is he as romantic as he is being portrayed in movies?

Ify: Absolutely! My husband is a very romantic and caring gentle man. I don’t think it has anything to do with the fact that he is an actor. I knew him long before he ventured into acting even though we weren’t dating at the time. I don’t think acting plays any role in an individual’s love life. It has to do with the individuals involved.

Were you comfortable with him becoming an actor?

Did: Yes I was. There was no cause for alarm.

How have you coped with his schedules and female fans?

Ify: As a wife and a mother, I pay attention to my husband and children. In addition, I love, respect and submit to my husband. We do everything and have fun together as a wonderful family. He balances his
work and his family life perfectly. His absence is always brief and has never been felt that much. An
average man or woman with blood flowing in his or her veins would naturally be jealous. Nobody wants to share his or her partner but I don’t let that interfere with our friendship, marriage and commitments. I trust my husband a lot. My Christian faith also goes a long way and God has been my strength and companion.

How do you constantly reassure your wife of your fidelity?

Ejike: Communication is one of the most important aspects of a healthy marriage. I am always open to my wife in all ramifications especially when a woman makes passes at me. I always reassure her that I will never let any woman to come in between us. The most important aspect of a relationship is actively making it as fulfilling as it can be at all times. Whilst I’m aware that it takes a considerable amount of time to get to a level of complete ease and trust in a relationship, the best temporary measure is to simply suppress any insecurity you may have as soon as they arise. It will let your partner know that you trust them, which in turn will emotionally pull them closer to you rather than push them away.

In what ways do you get each other angry?

Ejike: No marriage is perfect; the only perfect being I know is God. I get my wife angry sometimes but I apologise after a while. Sometimes it takes a day or two. I will not elaborate on how I got my wife angry but I learn from the mistake and not to let it happen again. Our love grows stronger after apologising.

Ify: Every marriage has its ups and downs but don’t let it linger for a long time. If you are wrong, apologise. It will not make or break you. It can only amount to a healthy relationship. The reasons behind most celebrity marriage breakup could be lack of love, peace, understanding and most importantly the inability to forgive and forget.

Do you have access to each other’s phones and social media accounts?

Ify: We make use of each other’s phone without any restrictions but with permission. Our phones don’t have passwords. Social media accounts technically have passwords but I never cared to ask my husband for his password because I don’t think it is necessary. Also, I am not a fan of social media. I only have a Facebook account, which I visit once or twice a month. It’s all about trust.

How do you spend time as a couple?

Ify: We balance our work with our family and at the same time optimise the time we have together. We go on vacation, visit fun places and forget everything about work. Sometimes, I surprise him with vacation packages. I always prepare his favourite meal, which is Eba andEgusi soup. My husband cooks too and sometimes serves me breakfast in bed. I am always happy whenever he does that.

What is the secret behind the success of your union?

Ify: The secret to a successful marriage is praying and ministering the word of God together as a couple. Understanding and communicating with each other is also important in a marriage and having Jesus Christ, as the overall head of your household is the only way you can have a successful marriage.

What advice do you have for intending couples?

Ify: They must really seek God with all their heart before they make any commitment. They must also let the Lord direct their footsteps. Marriage is like an institution; intending couples should be able to study each other especially those in a long-term relationship before getting married. Couples should give each other attention and respect themselves. They should not forget remarkable dates like birthdays, wedding anniversaries and never fail to express their love for each other.

Do you operate a joint bank account?

Ejike: Absolutely, we have foreign and domestic joint accounts. God joined us together as one, so we do things together. I advise couples to do the same because they never know what tomorrow holds.

What pet names do you call each other?

Ejike: I call my wife Ify or Baby and she calls me Eji, Getsmart or Baby.

Military Leader Tompolo alarms to the President 'They' want to kill me

Former Niger Delta warlord, Government Ekpemupolo, alias Tompolo, has alleged that there are plans by defectors from PDP in Delta and Bayelsa states to kill him.

According to Tribune, Tompolo made the allegation in a letter he wroteto President Buhari. ‎In the letter, Tompolo reportedly said the PDP defectors, who are now members of the APC, from Warri South West Local Government Area of the state had resolved to link him to the renewed vandalism of oil installations in the state.

He alleged that the APC new comers were planning against him in connivance with a lawyer attached to the EFCC who is also a member of the APC. He also questioned the moral rights of the EFCC counsel handling the alleged N13 billion land fraud in which he is involved in.

According to him, the EFCC lawyer who is after him was doing so because he (Tompolo) rejected an offer to buy choice properties from him.

"The crux of this letter is to let you know that they are dubious, mischievous, desperate, pretentious, manipulative and corrupt, therefore they do not share the same vision and mission with you as well as do not believe in good governance," he stated.

Former President Goodluck Jonathan ran CBN like Idi-Amin – Soludo

Former Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Charles Soludo, has said former President Goodluck Jonathan ran the apex bank like the former Uganda dictator, Idi-Amin. Speaking in an interview in the current Business Edition of The Interview, Soludo described the recent revelations from the arms deal scandal as startling. He said the Central bank under the last administration was “the ATM of the Presidency,”.

“Imagine a scenario where a president can order the CBN to create an intervention fund for national stability and CBN literally ‘prints’ say, N3 trillion, and doles it out cash to the Presidency to prosecute an election campaign or for just about anything he fancies. It is a scary thought. We are going down a dangerous path that ruins the economy. I don’t know any other country where such is tolerated, except perhaps what I watched in a movie about Idi Amin and his governor of central bank.”

Idris confirmed that the index case, a 25-year-old male undergraduate of the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Kaduna State, was reported to have fallen ill after arriving in Lagos and was taken to Ahmmadiyyah Hospital, Ojokoro on January 9 with complaint of fever, sore throats and difficulty in swallowing.

He said the patient was subsequently placed on admission for six days and was thereafter referred by the said private hospital to the Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH) on January 14, 2016 owing to the fact that the fever was persistent and his condition was not improving.

According to Idris, the patient was confirmed as a case of Lassa fever on January 15, at LUTH, and is currently being managed to the extent that his condition is now stable.

Idris added that 15 in-patients who were admitted alongside the index case as well as 25 health workers who attended to them have been placed on compulsory 21 days monitoring, and that the phone numbers and addresses of the persons in that category have also been collected for proper tracking.

Any of the persons in that category with temperature above 38.5, according to Idris, would be isolated so as to prevent the spread of the disease, while they have also been advised on the need to maintain little or no contact with others, at least for now.

The Commissioner said: “Though Lassa fever and Ebola Virus Disease belong to the same Viral Hemorrhagic fever group, Lassa fever is milder and can be treated and cured if defected early. Therefore, any persistent fever should be reported to the nearest public health facility.

“Residents are urged to watch out for the signs and symptoms of Lassa fever which typically occur with incubation period of 1-3 weeks after the patient comes into contact with the virus. Early symptoms of the disease include fever, headache, chills, diarrheas, nausea, vomiting, sore throat, backache, and joint pains.

“Late symptoms include bleeding from the eyes, ears and nose, bleeding from the mouth and rectum, eye swelling, swelling of the genitals and rashes all over the body that often contain blood. It could progress to coma, shock and death,” he said.

While stating that drugs and other materials have been prepositioned at the designated facilities across the State, Idris said isolation centres have equally been prepared to manage suspected and confirmed cases, adding that the State Government is fully prepared to manage the situation and as such people should not panic for whatever reasons.

On steps to be taken to prevent the spread of the disease, Idris urged residents to “avoid contact with rats, ensure proper collection and disposal of waste, cover all foods including left-overs and water properly, wash their hands properly before and after cooking of foods, block all rat hideouts and store food items in rodent-proof containers.”

WHY THE CHURCH SEEMS TO BE COLLAPSING TODAY….

WHY THE CHURCH SEEMS TO BE COLLAPSING TODAY….

In a nutshell – THE DAY OF MAN RUNNING THE CHURCH OF JESUS CHRIST IS OVER!!! For the Day of the Lord is fast approaching, and His genuine bride must PREPARE THE WAY OF THE LORD for His imminent return.

Those who prefer a more detailed response will find the answer in both the Old and New Testaments. “The voice of him that crieth in the wilderness, PREPARE YE THE WAY of the Lord, make straight in the desert a highway for our God.” (Isaiah 40:3). And when Jesus eventually arrived, He echoed this Scripture in Luke 7:27, “This is he, of whom it is written, Behold, I send my messenger before thy face, which shall PREPARE THY WAY before thee.”

The meaning is crystal clear – BEFORE THE ARRIVAL OF THE LORD, HIS WAY MUST BE PREPARED. This is a divine imperative that cannot be violated. As it was at the FIRST COMING of Jesus Christ, so exactly will it also be at His SECOND COMING. And the way to prepare the way of the Lord is to urgently call His people back to repentance, call them to return to the ancient path. This is what John the Baptist did until he was beheaded (Matthew 3:2). And this is exactly what the Lord is doing today in raising men and women to urgently call His people back to repentance as His return becomes more and more imminent.

ONLY those who have an ear will hear this clarion call, and return to the Lord – for indeed many believers will NOT return. Significantly, the church system of today will definitely not return to the Lord. Before buttressing this point, it is important to, again, draw a parallel between what occurred before the first coming of Christ, with what is happening today as His second coming draws near.

Before the first coming, the temple of the Lord had been hijacked by men. Hijacked by the Chief Priests that were appointed by God to act in the temple on His behalf. In exactly the same way, before the second coming, the church of the Lord has been hijacked by men. Hijacked by the pastors that were anointed by God to act in the church on His behalf. It is a pattern, and it is a warning – to those who have understanding.

In rebuking the leaders of the temple in His days, please listen to what Jesus told them: “This people honoureth me with their lips, but THEIR HEART IS FAR FROM ME. Howbeit in vain do they worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men. For laying aside the commandment of God, ye hold the TRADITION OF MEN … that ye may keep your own TRADITION…. Making the word of God of none effect through YOUR TRADITION….” (Mark 7:6-13).

It is exactly in the same way that the church is today being run by the TRADITIONS OF MEN, not by the biblical precepts established by Jesus and His Apostles. And the difference is visible. Many people, including unbelievers, liken the church of today to a business centre, or a commercial enterprise. In contrast, is there any way that the church that we read about in the Bible can be described as a business centre? The answer is of course NO! But today, men have taken over the running of the church. They have instituted their own ideas and principles; and so, Christ is no longer at the centre of His own church that He purchased with His own blood. The church has moved away from her ancient foundation, and is now hanging on the precipice of man's finite wisdom.

For long, God has tolerated this system in His mercy. But NOW, because the return of Jesus is drawing near, things have changed! The WAY OF THE LORD IS BEING PREPARED. “Every valley shall be exalted, and every mountain and hill shall be made low: and the crooked shall be made straight, and the rough places plain: And the glory of the Lord shall be revealed…. (Isaiah 40:4-5).

For every valley to be exalted today, repentance must be preached. For every mountain and hill to be made low, repentance must be preached. For every crooked path to be made straight, repentance must be preached. For every rough place to be made plain, repentance must be preached. The glory of the Lord will only be revealed when His way has been prepared through the repentance of His people. Therefore, REPENTANCE, urgent repentance, is the message on the heart of the Lord for His people today – for the time is very short.

But hardly would you hear most of our ‘big’ men of God reflecting this urgent divine cry for repentance. They may mention it once in a while, but it is NOT the heartbeat of their message today. Do you know why? They are no longer hearing the heavenly signals clearly. The signal of money has dulled their hearing capacity. The signal of ‘large crowds’ has dulled their hearing. The signal of gigantic cathedrals, bigger jets, bigger universities, and other carnal acquisitions have dulled their hearing. But because time is short, God is moving on. And that is why He is today using unknown ‘small’ men and women to call His genuine children back to repentance, back to Himself.

The church system of today will NOT repent. Too much is at stake. The institutions and systems we call ‘church’ today have been built on carnal wisdom, falsehood, and deception. And THEY CAN ONLY CONTINUE TO BE SUSTAINED ON THESE FALSE FOUNDATIONS. This is why they will not repent.

If these institutions dare to repent, and to follow the genuine Jesus, they will suffer HUGE LOSSES. Our men of God will suffer the loss of all that they have built over the years. They will suffer loss of effort, loss of face, loss of esteem, loss of dignity, loss of relevance, loss of possession, etc. How many General Overseers or Pastors want to go through all that???

Every spiritual man and woman knows this fact – there comes a time when a man/institution may grow too rich/big to go back to repentance. It happened to the rich, young ruler in Matthew 19:16-22. That’s why He could not follow Jesus. Too much was at stake! It also happened to the Church in Laodicea (Revelation 3:14-22). That’s why they could not heed the call of Jesus to repent from their blindness and nakedness. Too much was at stake! In that story, Jesus had to go out and to start knocking on the door of WILLING HEARTS; knocking and asking for fellowship on the basis of truth, and on the basis of communion with the Father and with Himself (verse 20).

The story of the Laodicean church is a metaphor for our days. A metaphor for how the church will become so rich in our days that we will become oblivious of our blindness, nakedness, poverty, and wretchedness. A metaphor for how we will fail to hear the call of the Master for urgent repentance. A metaphor for how the Lord will, once again, begin to knock at the door of the hearts of the remnants that can still hear His gentle wooing for repentance. This is exactly the same way that Jesus abandoned the temple system for the Jewish leaders and reached out to the remnants that He turned into His disciples. It is a divine pattern. And it was written for our admonition – at least, for those who still have an ear!

Friend, do you still have an ear? Does that ear still hear the heartbeat of the Father for the hour? Or are you confusing the voice of the church system for the voice of the Father? Are you confusing religiosity for spirituality? The two are radically different.

The falsehood in the church system is not new. This falsehood has been perpetrated for decades and decades. The only reason it is becoming glaring in our days is because God is now opening our eyes to see what we have been blind to. God is opening our eyes to see the error in the church system, so that we can make an informed choice. Will you choose Christ, and His way of the cross? Or will you continue to flow with the deceptive church system?

Many have become bewitched in the church system. Many have become gullible in the church system. Many have become entrapped by their own fears and desires in the church system. So deep is the confusion today that many believe that to leave the church system is to leave Christ!!! But in reality, for many, to leave the church system is TO GENUINELY FIND CHRIST. For many, to leave the church system is to re-discover the genuine Christ they once knew and served. And this is why leaving the church system is a healthy, positive and desirable step for many genuine believers.

If the coming of the Lord catches you by surprise in the church system, at least, it will be clear that YOU MADE THAT CHOICE. For ultimately, each of us will bear the personal responsibility of giving account of our lives to God. Through THE TRUTH, Jesus Christ offers us the liberty of FREEDOM (John 8:32). And He paid for that freedom with His precious blood. That blood is still available to set us free from the bondage of the church system.

Please let us study the Bible ourselves through the help of the Holy Spirit. Let us cast aside the false Jesus that the church system has ingrained into our spiritual psyche. In finding the genuine Jesus Christ, we will indeed discover life as God intends. May the Lord give us hearts and ears that recognise the voice of the true Shepherd. And as He leads us in the narrow path, may we find the grace and courage to follow Him faithfully to the end. Amen and Amen.

Thanks for reading, God bless.

The four suspected armed robbers that were served jungle justice at Jibowu area of Lagos State have died.
The Nation gathered that the suspects – Ahmed Fatai, Rafiu Mogaji, Godwin Uzong and Bayo Kadiri died on Tuesday night at the Onipanu Police Station.
They were said to have died after bleeding for over four hours from bullet wounds and other injuries sustained as a result of the mob attack on them.

The suspects, who were said to have earlier robbed a woman identified as Onchris around Ilupeju and dispossessed her of N400, 000 and telephone, proceeded to Jibowu where they attacked a Diamond Bank customer, Ms. Joy Oroh and snatched her handbag containing N200,000.

They reportedly shot Ms. Oroh on her thigh before collecting the money she had withdrawn to foot the hospital bill of a sibling admitted at the Infectious Disease Centre (IDH), Mainland Hospital, Yaba.

But unfortunately for the gang which also shot a motorcyclist who chased them, a mobile policeman on bank guard on Morocco Road reportedly opened fire on them, demobilising them.
It was gathered that while their rider escaped with gunshot wounds, the other four were not so lucky as bystanders caught up with them and had them severely beaten.
The suspects, who were bleeding were hit by bottles and other dangerous objects by the angry mob, who wanted to kill them.
A security source, who spoke on condition of anonymity, told The Nation that the victims bled to death, adding that their corpses were taken to Ikorodu around 8:00pm on Tuesday.

Model dies after having fillers injected into her face(Photos)

A runner-up in one of Brazil's biggest beauty pageants has died after undergoing cosmetic surgery to remove 'laugh lines'.
Friends of model and mother Raquel Santos, 28, told how she was terrified of dying during plastic surgery but was a 'slave to vanity' who submitted herself to 'every procedure imaginable',Uk Mirror reports.
The mum-of-two, who was a finalist in the popular Musa do Brasil competition in December, suffered a cardiac arrest following the procedure on Monday, when fillers were injected into her face.

However police are now investigating whether her reportedly daily use of an illegal horse medicine, which she injected before workouts, might have contributed to her death.

Miss Santos' best friend Debora Azevedo told Brazil's G1 website how the model, who leaves behind two sons aged seven and 13, was 'obsessed' with cosmetic surgery.

She said: "She was very concerned about her looks. She would go off and have procedures without telling her friends so we wouldn't fight with her.
"She was terrified of dying during surgery. But she did it anyway, that was how much she was obsessed with looking good. And she did every aesthetic procedure imaginable, from artificial tans to lymphatic drainage.
"She was so vain. She worked out religiously, she was as addicted to working out as she was to plastic surgery."

Her boyfriend Gilberto Azevedo said her quest for beauty was unnecessary and dangerous.

He said: "She was fascinated by it all, carnival, working out, and she always wanted more. I thought that she, ugly or beautiful, was fine as she was. But she always wanted more, unnecessarily."She smoked a lot and injected Potenay before going to the gym.

Plastic surgeon Wagner Moraes, who conducted the 'laugh lines' correction on Miss Santos, insisted the procedure wasn't responsible for her death.

He said: "It was a simple procedure which lasted two minutes. The big problem is that she was already suffering health complications, applying Potenay to her body every day, including on the day of the surgery.

Pastor M.Ashimolowo to Buhari: Looters deserve only 20% of your time

Pastor Matthew Ashimolowo, Senior Pastor of Kingsway International Christian Centre, KICC,has advised president Buhari to ensure that ,just 20 per cent of governance time is dedicated to the past, “otherwise, it will take forever for majority of Nigerians to see changes.

He said going by Parento’s Principle, the Federal Government should dedicate 20 per cent of its resources to going after perceived looters, while 80 per cent should be given to creating an enabling environment for Nigerians,Vanguard reports..
Speaking to journalists at the 10th edition of the annual widows New Year party in Ode-Omu, Osun State, he said:

 “President

Buhari is a man of great integrity, who wants the best for the country. But if he spends all his time pursuing looters, the majority of us who did not steal will suffer.
“Therefore, he must use the Parento’s Principle to approach governance. If you have your eyes permanently on the rear view mirror, you cannot drive fast. The past deserves just 20 per cent attention.”

It was gathered that Pastor Ayo Raphael was kidnapped during the Sunday service at the Resurrection parish of the RCCG in Kabba junction in Lokoja, the Kogi State capital.

Eyewitnesses said the kidnappers, numbering about 10, stormed the church auditorium at about 9am and ordered the congregation to lie face down.

An eyewitness, who pleaded not to be named, said,

“The pastor was dragged out of the church into the bush while the abductors shot sporadically into the air to facilitate their escape.”

Although no lives were lost, many members of the congregation were said to have sustained injuries as a result of their scampering for safety as the kidnappers were shooting into the air.

PUNCH Metro gathered that the kidnappers had contacted the church, demanding N50m before the pastor could be released.
