Meet the world's largest family living under a roof...

A 66-year-old man in India's remote northeast has 39 wives, 94 children and 33 grandchildren, all living under one roof.

They all live in a four storied building with 100 rooms in a mountainous village in Mizoram state, sharing borders with Burma and Bangladesh, according to reports.

"I once married 10 women in one year," Ziona Chana said.

His wives share a dormitory near Ziona's private bedroom and locals said he likes to have seven or eight of them by his side at all times.

The sons and their wives, and all their children, live in different rooms in the same building, but share a common kitchen.

The wives take turns cooking, while his daughters clean the house and do washing. The men do outdoor jobs like farming and taking care of livestock.

The family, all 167 of them, consumes around 200lb of rice and more than 130lb of potatoes a day.

They are supported by their own resources and occasional donations from followers.

"Even today, I am ready to expand my family and willing to go to any extent to marry," Ziona said.

Mr Chana met his oldest wife, who is three years older than he is, when he was 17.

He heads a local Christian religious sect, called the "Chana", which allows polygamy. Formed in June 1942, the sect believes it will soon be ruling the world with Christ and has a membership of around 400 families.

Yahoo Boy Caught With Used Sanitary Pads, Pants And Charms, Days After Buying A New Car

Popular Abeokuta Yahoo Boy with the name SDJ Teeman was caught red handed with used Sanitary pads and pant.He however claimed the used pads was for his wife and not for any voodoo purpose but what about the Charm, right?

SDJ recently bought a new car few days ago and also did a dating anniversary with his girlfriend last month.

The story is beyond speculation as this is a light blow to others ladies to be more sensitive.
Am dissapointed to even hear that he was a popular Disk Jockey with more name and fame to himself. I guess he is competiting with DJ Cuppy not knowing these folks were born with silver spoon.

Well it's fair as he has been caught but with how many girls destiny has he turned useless and unfortunate,  this is terrible and I believe investigation is on to evaluate the danger done and justice to be metted on accordingly.

May God Safe Guard Our Sisters and Other Female Friends Ooo.. !!!
The change is even obvious, maybe he was eating their pads as well 😂

Upon all the voodoo and ritual he did it is a Toyota corolla the guy could afford after wasting off many Abeokuta girls. The question is when have we lost the sense of humanity,  are we that heartless to make others cry,  or don't we get ghe fact of I will do unto others and expect it back from others.

It's well and we don't need to start pointing fingers at anyone here. God save us from these human in animals skin.

Truck Crashes In Akwa Ibom With Full Load Of Beer, Residents Help Themselves To Free Beer

A crate to a man show.

Nigerians are just crazy.

Truck Crashes In Akwa Ibom With Full Load Of Beer, Residents Help Themselves To Free Beer....

A truck carrying loaded crates of beer crashed and blocked the road before Abak bridge in Akwa Ibom. The incident was said to have happened on Thursday, March 28th.

It was gathered that some passersby and sympathizers who gathered at the accident scene, used the opportunity to drink bottles of beer which were in the crashed vehicle.

The truck and broken bottles were eventually evacuated after the incident caused a traffic gridlock in the area.

And he looks very comfortable drinking that lager. Crazy fellow

The tragedy was supposed to be welcome with a heart of loss and symphaty but what Nigerians will turn every slight opportunity into is what marvels me. May God help us all.

A Sapele based man identified as Samuel Meyiwa Khalil has taken to his Facebook page to narrate what has really transpired between Success’ parents and Stephanie Idolor, the lady who recorded Success’ viral video, after she accused Success’ parents of being not appreciative.

On 24th March, Samuel Meyiwa Khalil visited Success’ mother to find out what has been happening and promised to share the details online. He wrote; Just left Little Success and her mother; took time to ask her salient questions on her purported rift with steph. Didn’t want to be part of those going to see them, but as a Sapele man, it is our duty to settle issues like this so Sapele wouldn’t be on the cyber space for wrong reasons…. Details Shortly……..

Hours later, he posted the updates as he promised. Read below.

THE STEPHANIE IDOLOR AND SUCCESS MOTHER’S STORY; A case Of Greed Taken Too Far..

Yesterday, i made a post accusing Success parents of being too greedy not to have accorded what belongs to Stephanie “the girl that did the recording” to her. Being that we all are sapele people, i got a call from someone who is a close associate and a family friend to success and her parents, and who also has been an integral part of the success story.

He came to my place, we spoke and took me to success mother. Unknowing to me that, Stephanie Idolor whom i was also agitiating for to be compensated had done a VIDEO with a Punch Reporter Theophilus Onojoghen who is also my very good friend, complaining to the world that she hadn’t gotten any financial gratification from success parents.

Narrating her ordeal, Mama Success said and i quote with whatsapp chat evidence, we have so far Given Stephanie #570,000, Stephanie only made the video to mock my daughter and myself, she wasn’t even the one that sent to instablog, it was her friend that resides in Asaba a Certain “Joyce Imofen” whom she sent it to, was the person responsible for the VIRAL VIDEO. THE INTRIGUING STORY

First, when Joyce posted the video on instagram ” Stephanie’s Friend in asaba” concerned Nigerians showed interest in supporting Little Success, and some requested Joyce account number, she gave, and the total money she received almost immediately was 70K, not knowing success parents, she called her friend, Stephanie to send her account number, which she did, she transferred the money so Steph could give it to Success mother, to her greatest Surprise, Steph Ate the money and gave success mother nothing. So, Joyce opted to speak with Sucess mother, because she had become the center of all eyes on instagram.

She got the account number from her friend and established relationship with Mama Success. Now, when Nigerians started appreciating success financially, Stephanie became angry and trouble ensued with success parents. She began to make outrageous demands that she had to ask Mama success to take her to ECO BANK BOYO ROAD, sapele where her account “Mama Success” is domiciled to go and check the account balance so they could give her her share.

Success mother being an ignorant woman took her there and discovered that about 700K had been paid, she withdrew 400K and gave to Stephanie, reason being that, steph had said the people involved were so much and she had had to settle everyone person involved. This time, she took the 400K and didn’t give the girl “Joyce” who blew the video a KOBO. She kept making demands, that at a point, she went to ECO BANK to demand the statment of account of mama success but the bank refused; when she discovered that the bank wouldn’t oblige, she went to mama success took her to the bank and almost forced her to open a JOINT ACCOUNT with baby Success so she could control EVERYTHING that comes therein. When this didn’t work, she granted an interview with Punch accusing Success mother of not being appreciative.

Thai father who promised £240,000 to the man who marries his daughter is forced to scrap three-month tournament

Thai father who promised £240,000 to the man who marries his daughter is forced to scrap three-month tournament where suitors would compete for her hand after too many apply

dailymail.co.uk

A Thai father who promised £240,000 to the man who marries his daughter has scrapped plans for a tournament where suitors would compete for her hand - after too many applied.

Multi-millionaire farm owner Anont Rotthong, from Chumphon province, southern Thailand, took the matter of his daughter Karnsita's future into his own hands with his 'offer'.

But since then, 10,000 men have come forward hoping to marry the 26-year-old heiress. Mr Rotthong, 58, who owns a prosperous durian fruit farm, instantly dismissed one of the candidates as being 'too handsome', fearing that he would end up breaking his daughter's heart.

At first he planned to stage a three-month tournament at his farm in the hope of narrowing down the search.

But after saying he was 'dying because my phone has been ringing off the hook', Mr Rotthong decided he would scrap the idea, Channel News Asia reports.

Comes with a dowry: Karnsita Rotthong, 26, is being offered up to prospective husbands by her own father

Anont Rotthong (left), 58, promises ten million Thai baht (£240,000) and his prosperous durian fruit farm in southern Thailand to the man who marries his daughter (right)

However, he has vowed to honour his 'offer' to hand the successful suitor the equivalent of £240,000.

He said: 'Interested sons-in-law, please stop calling me. I'm dying because my phone has been ringing off the hook. Let me rest.'

Among them was Premyosapon Khongsai, 28, whose pitch gained 14,000 likes on Facebook.

'I'm interested. I am 28 years old. My family also grows durian in Trat province. We have over 300 trees … I can weather the sun and the rain. I can drive a 10-wheel truck and tractor. Please consider me, father Anont. Thank you,' he wrote.

But Mr Rotthong is said to have written him off as being 'too handsome' and could end up breaking Kanjasita's heart.

The farmer had earlier highlighted that his daughter, who helps him run the family business, speaks fluent English and Chinese and is a virgin.

In some parts of Thailand, custom dictates that a man should pay a dowry for his future wife, but Mr Rotthong says he would waive this 'fee'.

Instead he'll give his future son-in-law ten million Thai baht (£240,000), as well as his sprawling durian farm, valued at several million pounds.

Mr Rotthong says there are no restrictions on what nationality the successful 'husband' should be - as long as they 'work hard and make Karnsita happy'.

He said: 'I want someone to take care of my business and make it last. I don't want a person with a bachelor's, or master's or philosopher's degree.

'I want a diligent man. I just want someone with a hard-working attitude. That's all.'

Despite having several other children of his own, including sons who would traditionally inherit the business, he adds: 'As soon as I have an in-law, I will give up all my assets to him.'

Mr Rodthong describes his daughter as a multilingual graduate - speaking Thai, Chinese and English - but also highlights her 'virginity'

Show me the money: The 58-year-old millionaire farmer poses with wads of cash

Heiress: The 26-year-old helps her father on the family's multi-million pound durian farm

Mr Rotthong's durian farm processes some 50 tonnes of the fruit every day, and is the biggest in the region.

The wealthy Buddhist - who loves gold amulets - also owns property and land across the region.

Miss Rotthong said that she was overwhelmed with the attention from her father's post and confirmed that she is 'still single'.

But she hinted that her future boyfriend might have a struggle pocketing the money from her father, because she would 'like to use it herself for plastic surgery in Korea'.

She added: 'I first found out about my father's post when my friend's showed me. I was surprised but I can see the funny side to it, too.

'It is true that I am still single. If I have to get married with someone, I only want him to be a diligent and good person who loves his family.'

Success' parents

THEOPHILUS ONOJEGHEN writes about how a video of the innocent outburst of Success Adegor, went viral, elevated the family and exposed problems in the educational system in Delta State

Finding Success Adegor’s home within the Urban Area of Sapele wasn’t difficult. Within a week, she has become one of the most famous people in the history of her community. The entrance to their one-bedroomed apartment at Brazilian-styled house, popularly known as Face-me-I-face-you, was swamped by visitors.

Urban Area is a poor neighbourhood but for the Adegor’s family, the situation is fast changing through their seven-year-old daughter, Success, who has become the toast of many Nigerians. Success’ claim to fame, a viral video in which she was venting her frustration and anger after being sent out of school over her parents’ inability to pay her examination levy, caught the attention of the state government and many Nigerians, including celebrities.

The primary three pupil of Okotie-Eboh Primary School 1, Sapele had said in the footage recorded by her neighbour, Miss Stephanie Idolor, that she preferred to be flogged to being sent out of school.

Meanwhile, from our correspondent’s interaction with other kids in the community, there are many others like Success who have either been sent out of school or do not attend school at all.

Success’ father, Godwin Adegor, is a commercial motorcyclist, popularly known as okada rider, while her mum sells recharge cards and raw eggs. They have two other children – Gift and Marvelous – who are in Junior Secondary School. Both are said to be intelligent and they showed signs of this when they read the entire Tuesday edition (March 19, 2019) of The PUNCH Newspaper our correspondent had with him. They were fascinated by the picture of their younger sister on the front page of the newspaper.

As Saturday PUNCH approached Success’ parents, proud smiles beamed from their faces. Mr Adegor said everything was happening so fast for his family as if it was all a dream. “Are Nigerians this kind?” He asked our correspondent, while still smiling. “We are short of words for what has come our way.”

Since Success’ video went viral, the Adegors have been receiving people of all social strata as visitors and some have been calling them on the phone. Popular social media celebrity, Mr Jollof, was among the early callers. Mr. Jollof immediate registered Success at a private school – Majesty Academy, Sapele – and paid for two terms starting from third term, promising to fund her education up to university level.

Success has also received scholarship for primary and secondary school education from the Sapele Local Government Area Chairman, Chief Eugene Inoaghan, along with cash gift. The family of the girl has also met with the Private Secretary to Governor Ifeanyi Okowa, Mr Hilary Ibegbulem, while some Nigerian celebrities, including comedian, Ayo Makun, aka AY, have also reached out to the family, with promises to help the little girl.

“At the moment, we have two scholarships for Success – one by Sapele LGA chairman (Inoaghan) and Mr. Jollof. I feel great. I thank everyone for their support.

“Everything is happening as if I am dreaming. I don’t really believe that we have so many kind people around us. I thank God because He did this one for us. We are really happy for everything. I’m really happy with the way Nigerians supported us, most especially the Delta State governor (Ifeanyi Okowa), Sapele LGA chairman, AY and Mr Jollof. The whole world has been supporting my daughter since her video went viral,” he said.

Success

Giving reasons why he could not pay Success’ examination levies, Adegor said, “The truth is that on that day, I didn’t have any money on me to pay the levy. It was actually exam levy, and not school fees. All public schools are collecting exam levies. It is not just Okotie-Eboh Primary School. My two other children paid before they left primary school for secondary school.

“I was not informed about the levies early enough. I had already told her teacher that Success was too small to be sent home from school. I appealed to them to always inform us about things going on rather than to send her away from the school. I had also told them that I would pay, even before the incident. One thing about Success is that whenever she is angry, she will say whatever she has on her mind. I know people will feel she’s stubborn but she isn’t stubborn. I know that God has a purpose for her,” he said.

Success was almost aborted as a foetus – Father

Continuing, Adegor said Success was born with signs of greatness in her. According to him, his wife once contemplated aborting her when she became pregnant of her and even took a poisonous substance to get rid of her.

“I knew she would be a great child. That was why I gave her the name Success. We received many favours on the day she was given birth to. Let me tell you a short story about Success. After our second child, my wife said she didn’t want to give birth to another child.

“When she was pregnant with Success, she decided to drink ‘Angle 90’ (a poisonous substance). She said she wanted to die. I convinced her that rather than kill yourself, have the baby so that you could sell it for N500,000. But she said she wouldn’t sell her baby.

“On the day Success was born, somebody that had owed me N100,000 paid the debt. Money was just coming from different areas. As we were receiving the goodwill, I told my wife that if we had terminated the pregnancy, would these favours have come to us? It was because of the goodwill that has always followed her that made me named name Success.

“She has been receiving blessings from every corner since she was born. There was a day a soldier who stopped the vehicle that was taking them (our children) to see their grandmother at Kwale, gave her the bread he had bought for his family. The soldier said he liked the way my daughter was talking. Anywhere she goes, she always receives favour. She has won a scholarship before. The scholarship was given to her by a governor’s aide,” he said.

Why I want to be a lawyer –Success

However, Success has described herself as not stubborn as the viral video has allegedly depicted her to be. She noted that she only vented her frustration and anger for being sent home while her colleagues were in class. But the seven-year-old girl added that she was not the only one driven away from school.

When Saturday PUNCH, however, asked her what she would like to become, she said she would like to become a lawyer and a pastor. “I want to be a lawyer and pastor. I want to be a pastor so that I can preach the gospel. I want to become a lawyer because I love everything about them. I love their dressing and I hope to become a judge (some day),” she said.

I recorded the video for fun – Stephanie, lady who recorded Success’ viral video

Not many have heard of the 23-year-old graduate of Public Administration from the Auchi Polytechnic, Stephanie, who made the trending viral video. When Saturday PUNCHcame in contact with her, she said it was purely for entertainment.

Stephanie said she was shocked to discover the attention little Success had received since the video went viral on social media, adding that she never foresaw the goodwill the video could bring for the Adegors.

“My mum sent me on an errand and on my way, I saw Success grumbling and angry. She was complaining bitterly that they (school) sent her away from school when they were supposed to flog her. So, I recorded the video just for entertainment and not to put it on social media to raise money for her. If you notice in the video, she was walking away from me and that was where I ended the video.

“Thereafter, I posted the video on my WhatsApp status and people started asking for the video because it is funny. I also uploaded it on my Instagram and Facebook accounts. It was from there that it went viral.

“When I posted it on my Instagram, people started commenting and one of my friends (Joy) said she was going to talk to Instablog9ja to upload it for us. I called her (the friend) again to find out if Instablog9ja would post it but she said she didn’t know. I was even praying that they should post it.

“Few hours later when I checked, Instablog9ja had posted it but my friend was credited rather than me. I told her that she should have added my name so that the two of us would share the credit for the video. Nobody did that video for me. I did it myself. I was the one who posted it on my social media platform. No one should take glory for something I created,” she said.

Stephanie, however, added that as the initiator of the video, she had not received any support from anyone. She also appealed to Nigerians to give her a job, adding that like Success, many other children in the area have no money to attend school and therefore, also deserve the sympathy and goodwill of Nigerians.

“I’m very happy but when they suspended the head teacher of the school, I felt so bad because I didn’t do it to expose her or for anything like that. According to the head teacher, I taught Success what to say and, that is a ‘big lie’. Success is very sharp and can say what happened. I even have eyewitnesses who were passing by when I made the video.

Okotie-Eboh Primary School 1. Photos: Theophilus Onojeghen

“I didn’t teach her what to say. Although I felt bad when they suspended the head teacher but it wasn’t really my fault. I didn’t do the video to get anybody sacked or suspended. I did it just for fun. On the other hand, I feel happy because this little thing has gone viral and she has been receiving a lot of assistance and funds.”

She, however, criticised Success’ mother for allegedly hiding things from her since her daughter started getting famous.

“If you call Success’ mum now, she will tell you that the Sapele LGA chairman has given me money and that people should not give me any money. She told me that the money in her account was N700,000, not knowing that the money in the account was more than N5.3m, which good-hearted Nigerians have given them.

“That is why I am angry with her. I didn’t tell her I wanted to share the money 50/50 with her. She should have told me the truth. I don’t really understand why she was hiding everything from me. She told me that she would give me N400,000 from the N700,000. I didn’t do the video because of money but since money is coming out of it, I should be carried along, rather, she started hiding everything from me.

“My parents have asked me to forget about it. I even promised to help Success speak English and dress better. The local government chairman said if they don’t want to give me money, I should forget about it but it is not supposed to be like that. They were not even sure of getting N100,000 all through the year but now that they are swimming in millions, they want to give me N400,000. I have decided to leave the money with them.

“The LG chairman has said I should summit my CV, which I have done. If I don’t get a call from the local government, I will have nothing to show for my efforts. I believe my helper will come. I am a graduate. As we speak to you now, I don’t have a dime on me. I think she’s being greedy, but my parents have advised me to leave the money issue,” she said.

Stephanie

Meanwhile, beyond the help the Adegors have received, the video has also exposed the infrastructural decay in public schools in the state and alleged extortion in the school system.

Illegal fee that broke the camel’s back

When the authorities of the Okotie-Eboh Primary School 1 sent home a “willing-to-learn” Success, they never thought of the backlash that would greet their actions and alleged illegal examination and other levies that pupils are required to pay.

Also, the state government has won several awards for educational development. According to residents, the video has also shown that the organisers of such awards do not do thorough investigations before giving the awards to the state.

Why Delta govt suspended Success’ headteacher – Commissioner

However, the Delta State Government said it suspended the head teacher of Success’s school – Okotie-Eboh Primary School – Mrs Vero Igbigwe, for allegedly collecting unauthorised fees including examination levy from schoolchildren.

The state Commissioner for Education, Mr Chiedu Ebie, who visited the school on Monday, emphasised that basic education (primary and secondary) in the state were free, saying that the suspended head teacher acted outside the law.

Ebie said although a thorough investigation would be launched into the matter, his ministry was aware of similar illegal fees being imposed by school heads. He added that about 10 primary and secondary school head teachers and principals had either been suspended or demoted for related offences.

School buildings too old for renovation – Parents, teachers

When our correspondent visited Okotie-Eboh Primary 1 located at the Urban Area off Ikomi Road in Sapele, one ugly thing that stood out was the tattered roofs of the school’s storey building.

A block of classrooms that was part of the school was no better. The school surroundings have clearly been assaulted by open defecation, most likely by neighbouring residents.

A resident, who simply identified himself as Akpokona, told Saturday PUNCH that one of the school buildings had been there for so many decades, as he appealed for new structures to be provided for the school instead of the renovation of the dilapidated structures.

Akpokona’s claim was also substantiated by some teachers who spoke with our correspondent on condition of anonymity. They said the school buildings were too old to be renovated, while accusing politicians from the area of playing politics with the development of the school.

One of them said, “This is not the first time the reconstruction of the school is being awarded. The school project has been awarded several times and we understand that money has been paid. Politicians from this area are the ones playing politics with the school buildings.

“We don’t need renovation. What the school needs is a new building. These buildings are so many years old. The famous Zik Academy was the school using these buildings until they moved the school to another area. Many ‘big’ people you see that are from Sapele today came from this school. If you renovate these buildings, it means you are postponing the evil’s   day.

“There was a day a section of the roof collapsed on the top floor during school hours. It was a miracle that no pupil in the class got hurt. The place has been a mess for years and it has continued to deteriorate, but government at all levels don’t care.”

Summary of the Novel – “Sweet Sixteen” for UTME.
DESCRIPTION:

Aliya has to constantly remind her father that she is not a child but ‘a young adult.’ He does not always agree with her.

But now that she is turning sixteen, he is sitting up and taking notice. The expected birthday card from him is replaced by a present and no holds barred letter – a page for each year she has lived.

It chronicles the lessons he has tried to teach her and the wisdom he has attempted to pass to her. It unburdens the burning questions she has about life and sometimes shows through the cluelessness of parental units.

Aliya questions who she is and why she is; with her father as a guide on this journey of discovery. An engaging coming of age guide on life and love for the teenage girl.

FULL REVIEW:

In Bolaji Abdullahi’s Sweet Sixteen, the protagonist, 16-year-old Aliya, whom her father refers to adoringly as ‘My First Lady,’ bombards her father with questions, some of which threw her journalist father off balance.

‘’Okay Daddy, what does HAK and KOTL mean?,’’Aliya asked. And when the father expressed his ignorance of the acronyms, Aliya gleefully supplied them; ‘’HAK means ‘Hugs and Kisses’ while KOTL means ‘Kiss On The Lips’.

And when she added that some students were caught on the school’s basketball court at night having ‘’53X’ (s3x), Mr Bello almost fainted. ‘’But…how do you know all these?,’’ he asked almost in consternation, to which Aliya replied: ‘’Come on Daddy, everybody knows these things.”

In his debut fictional work, Bolaji Abdullahi, who has written extensively over the years on politics, policy and development, laid bare in an absorbing page-turner, murky truths and hitherto unspeakable issues in the ever-challenging world of teenagers and young adults.

Divided into seven sections; The Letter, The Drive, Work, The Gandhi Test, Dating, Stereotype and Beauty, Sweet Sixteen’s central focus is a series of conversations between Mr Bello and her 16-year-old intelligent and precocious daughter on the ‘facts of life.’

These are topics which the book’s editor, Molara Wood, referred to on the book’s cover jacket as ‘’everything a teenage girl ever wanted to know but was afraid to ask.”

Another part of the book’s blurb referred to it as ‘’a parenting manual and a guidebook for young adults.”

The above notwithstanding, sociologists, educationists and policy-makers, as well as parents and guardians, are still divided on how much ‘sensitive’ information, especially on s3x education, should be divulged to teenagers.

For example, in a recent UK survey, more than half of parents do not think s3x education should be taught to children at school. According to a poll by baby product website babychild.org.uk; ‘’Many think it is inappropriate to teach children about s3x, whilst others think it should be a parent’s choice to inform their own children.”

However, on the other side of the coin, it is believed that, just as Aliya put it in Sweet Sixteen, most teenagers are already aware of what adults seem to be hiding from them.

According to one expert; ‘’Comprehensive s3x education doesn’t encourage kids to have s3x. Just like abstinence-only programmes, good comprehensive programmes teach students that abstinence is the only surefire way to prevent pregnancy and STDs.

The difference is that these programmes also give students realistic and factual information about the safety of various s3xual practices, and how to improve the odds.’’

In writing Sweet Sixteen, Bolaji Abdullahi, a former Nigerian Minister of Youths and Sports, among other previous jobs, must have critically weighed the above positions before taking on a smorgasbord of young adult topics that ranged from bullying, dating, stereotype, ethics and s3x education, among others

In pushing out his themes, the author finds a good ally in Aliya Bello, a teenager with a curious, fascinating and inquisitive mind and a devoted as well as a responsible father.

Mr Bello, as expected of any good father, took responsibility for the education of his daughter, including the tricky but very important aspect of s3x education.

Aliya is, therefore, fortunate to have a father who does not leave her to struggle alone with the demons that usually torment teenagers when awash in a flood of hormones and the pull of peer pressure.

The result is a compelling tale, loaded with morality and textured with a rich lyrical prose and young adult lingo…story-story, my bestie, OMG among others.

The storyline has an upper-middle-class flavour with luxuriant meals, leisurely Saturday drives and a Mrs Bello, the nurse, often distant from father and daughter.

But in the hinterland between fact and fiction, the author is able to deftly sift the core values from the emotion, the treat from the trick and for this, parents and guardians will forever be grateful.
